In collaboration with BLD PWR, Shanks served as a creative producer and development strategist supporting the studio’s inaugural slate of impact-driven film and television projects. The work focused on shaping early-stage concepts into compelling visual materials, including the development and production of demo reels used to articulate story, tone, and thematic intention. Working closely with the studio, Shanks contributed to story development, character identification, and editorial construction, producing reels that translated written concepts into clear, cinematic narratives. These materials were used to pitch projects to studios, financiers, and strategic partners, and played a central role in the public launch of BLD PWR. The completed reels were featured as part of an immersive video installation at the studio’s launch event during Glenn Kaino’s Forest for the Trees exhibition in Los Angeles, situating the projects within a larger cultural and experiential context while introducing the studio’s creative vision to industry and community audiences.
